Loosing your ability to work can be very tough on the finances. Here is a list of resources here in BC, Canada that you may find helpful. If you live elsewhere, I encourage you to look in your city, province, or country to see if there is anyone that can help.
- MSP is a mandatory service and you are able to apply for help paying the premiums based on you own personal situation. The Premium Assistance program details are at:

- BC Housing
There are different services offered here and some of them are geared to low income. The wait list in Metro Vancouver is quite long so if you are able to qualify, you may consider putting your name on as soon as you can.
- Financial Assistance for Child Care
There are a few reasons you may consider applying for Financial Assistance for Child Care. On a case by case basis, they may be willing to help based on a persons current income, as opposed to the income tax return from the year prior year which may be much higher.
