Could you imagine going to work, like any other day, and then ending up in the hospital?Imagine you have children in school that are expecting you to pick them up? This happened to me when I developed a migraine and then was told I had suffered a heart attack.
When a child is in the hospital it is difficult for the family, thankfully there are many services to help families navigate through all the challenges and a lot of support.
Now when a Mom or Dad is in the hospital, it is a little different. If the parent is a single Mom or Dad, they may not have anyone to take care of their children. This can be terrifying for both the children and parent.
Even if the family is together, there are many stressors that can occur. Here are a few ideas to help if you find yourself in this situation.
- Notify Someone to care for your kids
If you don’t know who to call, here is 5 people you can notify.
- Ask someone to support you
- Find out the facts on your medical condition
- Seek support and make decisions (this is where prayer really helped me)
- Rest and Recover
Please join our community, we don’t want you to feel alone and sometimes having someone to talk about how you feel can make a big difference!
